Taken from an episode of the ABC TV jazz series, The Don Burrows Collection, hosted by musical legend, Don Burrows, this clip features Nichaud Fitgibbon singing her television debut, already loaded with style, poise, and that signature husky tone and soaring voice. Vince Jones and band were doing the evening, and Nichaud was invited as a guest. These young musicians went on to be leading lights in Australian jazz; Nichaud’s brother Mark Fitzgibbon on piano, Doug DeVries on guitar, Peter jones on drums, Vince Jones on trumpet, Wilbur Wilde on sax, Russell Smith on trombone and Hermann Schwaiger on bass.
