This concert will celebrate the release of Nat Bartsch Trio’s new album, To Sail, To  Sing, which has received both critical and popular acclaim. The album is an  independent release partially funded through a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Nat’s trio launched the album in Melbourne in April (with drummer Daniel Farrugia)  and successfully toured to Japan to promote the release with support from Arts  Victoria.

Nat Bartsch Trio has garnered much attention for creating reflective, beautiful  contemporary music. Influenced by indie rock, minimalism and European jazz, their  music has been embraced by music lovers of many genres. The trio was formed in  2006 during studies at the VCA. They have released three CDs and toured to Japan  and Europe (most notably, supporting Abdullah Ibrahim’s Ekaya). Nat was the  recipient of the 2010 Melbourne Prize for Music Development Award.
