Nominations announced for the 2013 Australian Jazz Bell awards

The 2013 Australian Jazz Bell Awards are pleased to announce this year’s nominations with winners to be announced at a glittering ceremony at the beautiful Regent Theatre Ballroom, Melbourne on Thursday May 2.

This year is the 11th Jazz Bell Awards and one of great significance. Graeme Bell, who the awards are named after, passed away in 2012 and the night will feature a special tribute to this most respected and talented Jazz musician.

Featuring some of the brightest talent in the Australian Jazz Scene, the nominees for 2013 Australian Jazz Bell Awards are:

The winner of the Graeme Bell Hall of Fame – in recognition of an outstanding career – will be announced on the night.

The 2013 judging panel, made up of experts in their field,  are from Australia and overseas. The panel comprises Adrian Jackson, Albert Dadon, Gerry Koster, Laurence Donohue-Greene, Martin Jackson, Michael Tortoni, John McBeath and Rob Burke.

The annual awards are a great opportunity for all artists to be recognised in the vibrant Australian Jazz scene for achievements across all categories of jazz.
