Author: Lucian McGuiness

Lucian McGuiness is a trombonist, bandleader and composer. He is the creator and musical director of Little Egypt's Burlesque, a rhythm and blues cabaret that pairs Lieber and Stoller with burlesque and early rock'n'roll dancing, and the Vintage Quartestra, commissioned for the 2013 Parramatta Opening Party by Sydney Festival. Another project, Salvation Street Shout, is an all-brass instrumental choir that roars with the energy and passion of contemporary gospel praise. A Canberra School of Music graduate in Jazz, he leads a few jazz-tinged bands such as My Goodness, McGuiness!, the Keijzer-McGuiness Quintet, and the Impermanent Quartet.
